Falsled Kro has a long and varied history. It was a smugglers’ inn back in the 16th Century, and gained a royal charter 250 years later when the King gave Morten Jensen authorization to run an inn, brew beer and distil spirits. Changes these days are only made to ensure that the old traditions are maintained and that the inn is still worth a detour.
