Few Danish design houses have made glass feel quite as expressive as Holmegaard. The brand has given designers unusual freedom to explore the material, from sculptural art glass to everyday tableware. The glassworks itself began in 1825, making Holmegaard Denmark’s oldest glassworks company. Form, light and function are constantly pushed against each other, with new production techniques used alongside traditional glassmaking to create objects that are made to be used, not simply admired.
